"Servicing your entire family of vehicles" Modern Auto Care has been at the current location since 1968, proudly serving Eden Prairie and surrounding areas for close to 40 years. During this time we have built wonderful relationships with both individuals and community. As a result, almost 95% of our business comes from either repeat or referral customers. The current owner, Lou Kharrat, is a seasoned ASE Certified Master Technician who has close to 30 years experience in the automotive industry. He bought into the business in 1994 and since then, Modern Auto Care has expanded its service offerings to become a total auto care facility servicing imports as well as domestics and SUV’s. Modern Auto Care is an ASE Blue Seal of Excellence repair center and a member of the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce as well as the BBB, AASP, TIA, and NCTDSA. As a bit of history . . . In the late 1950’s, two brothers formed Modern Tire providing wholesale services in the tire industry Later, the company expanded to accommodate retail, wholesale, dealer, truck and recapping operations. The owners started getting into maintenance and repair of cars and light trucks primarily to keep company-owned vehicles in operation. Over time, more and more repair services were added and by the 1980’s the wholesale tire business had diminished and most service was at a retail level that included both vehicle repair and tire sales.
All that was left to complete the transition from the original “tires only” to a full service facility was to update the name. In 2002, we retired the name of Modern Tire, and became known as Modern Auto Care.
